The point of this treatment is that the cavity-prone, furrowed surface of freshly erupted molars and molars (at the age of 6 years) is sealed without gaps. These new permanent teeth are still unprotected because not enough mineral material has yet been incorporated into the tooth surface, so the possibility of tooth decay is greater. Food residue can get trapped in the deep grooves, which the toothbrush does not always reach, which is why cleaning them is difficult. And the bacteria that multiply in food residue start tooth decay. By closing the fissures, we create a smoother surface that is easier to clean.

HOW DO WE CLOSE THE FISSURE?

With the help of a special paste and brush, we clean the tooth, and after the pretreatment of the tooth, we fill the fissures of the tooth with a blue light binding material. After that, we illuminate the tooth with blue light and finally polish the tooth.
