WHAT IS A DENTURE AND WHEN TO USE IT?

In the case of heavily destroyed teeth, after the decayed areas have been cleaned, there is not enough intact, own tooth material to correct it with a traditional aesthetic dental filling. In such cases, we make a dental inlay that perfectly restores the aesthetics and function of the tooth. Even after root canal treatment, we often choose this solution for the permanent restoration of the tooth, as it protects the remaining tooth material from breaking.

The insert is a bonded tooth filling made of composite or ceramic, which is made in a dental laboratory and fits very precisely into the cavity prepared by the dentist. It is called an inlay if it does not cover the tip of the tooth; are online if it covers at least one node, or as an overlay if it covers all the tips of the tooth.

HOW ARE DENTURES MADE?

As the very first step in making an inlay, the dentist thoroughly cleans the tooth from decayed parts, then uses drills to form a cavity suitable for receiving the inlay. We then take an impression of the teeth and close the prepared cavity with a temporary filling. Next time, the temporary filling will be removed, and then the inlay will be fixed permanently with special dental adhesive cement.
