Dental Screening Examination
Our office has a 3D CBCT and a panoramic X-ray machine on site, so we can immediately take the necessary imaging for a thorough examination without waiting. Imaging procedures are quick and painless.
Come to us, we look forward to welcoming you!
WHY IS REGULAR DENTAL EXAMINATION IMPORTANT?
Regular dental check-ups make it possible to detect problems early, thus making it easier to maintain the health of the oral cavity. If we detect and treat an incipient tooth decay in time, major, lengthy interventions such as root canal treatment can be avoided in most cases. An early-stage gingivitis can be completely reversed with appropriate treatment, while a neglected, advanced periodontal disease unfortunately has permanent consequences. It is important to note that the initial changes are usually not painful, in most cases they are completely imperceptible to the patient. During the screening examination, the dentist examines the teeth and interdental spaces one by one, and performs an oral cancer screening by palpating and observing the gums and mucous membrane. If necessary, we take an X-ray, on which we notice changes that are not visible to the naked eye. The dentist can also give constructive feedback on the patient's oral hygiene, advise on which products to use and which should be avoided.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I VISIT MY DENTIST?
The frequency of the dental examination depends on your state of health or from your oral hygiene. In general, it is worth attending a consultation at least once a year.
